This is a great demo - Can I ask what your favourite liner pen is that you can use safely without smudging if you use it before applying the watercolours?

Although I don't have this set. I have put 21 full pans into palettes of this size. I really like the bigger pan size.

Unfortunately the pigments listed on many of PWC tubes are not the only pigments used to make those colors. for example the Permanent rose, has BV11 (Fugitive pink dye) mixed in it (Hence the lower lightfastness and price level compare to Quinacridone Red). Synthetic squirrel hair? What does that even mean? If its synthetic, its not squirrle hair, lol. So its just regular synthetic brushes. So whats the point?

Really nice review and I almost caved to this set :) I was also very impressed with the brushes.

Have you tried the mission gold dot card? They have lots of colors, and particularly lots of purples.

I'm surprised by how close the terre vert and Davy's grey were, definitely didn't expect that! I have just a couple of PWC tubes in pretty random colors, but overall I think it's a good budget brand. Not one I'm overly in love with, but spontaneously I'd say I like them about as much as White Nights. That same kind of range.

The Davy’s Grey is a bit chromatic. Usually, Davy’s Grey is more of a greenish grey. Rembrandt and W&N have the more grey versions.

I think These colours are full of sunlight. Like you said these colours will be good for paintung cats. Here is my question: Wäre I get some Information about Catober 2024??

I bought this pigment to add to my all red hued watercolor palette. I love reds . I also have both Cochineal watercolors from Texas Wildcolor I believe one is native and the other is from Peru .

These are my favorite paints out of all the brands. Except for some of Roman small granulating paints. Love love. Love them and I love your art! Thanks for sharing❤

I have these colors! I love these, since most neon colors tend to be on red or pink side, and this had green and yellows, which I use mostly.

This set is amazing ,the greens are wonderful for landscape painting. You can achieve the depth of colour for trees and still retain the translucency in the wash

Will u please make a video mixing these neon colors to the common colors? I’d love to see that. Cheers from Brazil

They also launched their pastel mini set under the akademie set, so maybe is because of the novelty of these sort of limited palettes…?

Last I checked, there wasn't a fluorescent pigment, it was only available as dye.... I'm curious if they had any actual pigments in there too 🤔

I do like how they look under uv light .not sure I would know what to use them for though. Maybe something geometric and abstract. But on the whole I doubt I would use them. I do like the palette though, are these available easily? Your painting is great as usual.

Thanks for sharing these paints. I’m not one for neons, I have no idea how to use them. But I do enjoy watching how other people use supplies I don’t like.

I love my Rosa Gallery paints!

I love the Rosa colors that I have! Their Magenta Rose and Indanthrone Blue are my favorite of all the versions I've tried.

It's 2024 and I note the colour selection for this set has changed. No more white (thanks W&N!). Cad free yellow and cad free red replaced Winsor Yellow and Winsor Red. I really like this very compact palette, though. I find it stable enough to take onbthe go. I bought an empty one, second hand, and put my own colours there. Ditched the sponge and added 2 more colours. I also bought a second hand unopened 😮 vintage version of this from the 1990s, with a grey plastic box and paint still made in England. Those colours are fantastic, though. Those were the times!

Watching your video, I just turned around looking for my fur baby! It took me a minute to figure out it was coming from the video. Someone really should make a sleep audio tape with that sweet purr and trill that they make when they want attention. Its so calming.
